Are Légère reeds recyclable or environmentally friendly?Updated 2 months ago

Our reeds are made of 100% recyclable polypropylene, but due to their small size, you usually can’t toss a used reed directly in a recycling bin – most recycling facilities would filter it out. However, Légère reeds can be recycled with a simple hack: place your used reed into a larger recyclable plastic container (for example, an empty #5 plastic yogurt cup) and put that container in your recycling.  

This way, the small reed will be processed along with the container. We’re also actively working on making our packaging fully recyclable. While using a plastic reed might raise environmental questions, consider that one Légère reed replaces many cane reeds (which often come with their own plastic sleeves, shipping, etc.). So over time, you may reduce waste by using a long-lasting synthetic reed and properly recycling it at end-of-life
